App: Candy Wars (Android package com.candywars.game)

For parents, in plain terms: Candy Wars is made for children. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no chat, and no way to spend real money. Everything your child does in the game is saved on the device and nowhere else. The game shows optional advertisements, which your child chooses to watch to earn an in-game bonus — never to keep playing. Those ads are non-personalised: they are not chosen based on your child or their activity, and no profile is built from them.
1. Who this app is for
Candy Wars is a child-directed app, distributed under the Google Play Families programme. It is designed for children, and we treat every user as a child regardless of the device or the country it is used in. We do not ask for anyone's age, and we do not use an age screen to unlock different behaviour — the strictest treatment described below always applies.
2. Information the app itself collects
None that leaves the device. There are no accounts and no sign-in. Game progress, Candy Coins, unlocked shops and mini-games, difficulty settings and high scores are stored locally on the device only. We cannot see them, they are not uploaded, and deleting the app removes them.
We do not collect or ask for a name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, files, microphone or camera input, or any other personal information — from a child or from anyone else.
3. Advertising — Google AdMob
Candy Wars offers optional rewarded ads, served by Google AdMob. Google AdMob is a Families self-certified ads SDK, which Google Play requires for apps made for children. It is the only third-party service in the app.
How ads work here:
- Always optional. An ad plays only after a clearly-labelled button is tapped that says what it gives — for example a daily treat, a retry of a mini-game, or a one-run trial of a locked candy stand.
- Never in the way. No ad ever interrupts play, appears between screens, or blocks anything. A child who never watches one can finish the whole game and unlock everything in it.
- Never worth real money. Rewards are in-game only and last for the current run. Nothing an ad gives can be bought, sold, or converted to money, and the app contains no in-app purchases of any kind.
- Offline-safe. With no internet connection the offers simply do not appear, and the game plays in full.
4. Non-personalised ads and child-directed treatment
Every ad request the app makes is tagged for child-directed treatment and limited to a “G” content rating. This is set in the app itself, on every request, and cannot be turned off from inside the game.
The effect is that Google serves non-personalised ads only. The device advertising ID is not used to build an advertising profile, to target ads by interest, or for remarketing. Google may still process limited technical information in order to deliver an ad at all, to limit how often the same ad is shown, to measure it, and to detect fraud — for example:
- IP address, and the coarse (city-level) region derived from it;
- device information such as model, operating system version and network state;
- ad interaction data — that an ad was shown, watched to the end, or closed, and that a reward was granted.
This processing is carried out by Google under its own policies, not by us. We receive only anonymous, aggregated counts of ads shown — never anything about an individual person or device. See the Google Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from apps that use its services, and how AdMob complies with Google Play’s Families Policy.
5. What the app deliberately does not do
- No analytics, crash-reporting, attribution or tracking SDK of any kind.
- No in-app purchases, payments, or real-money currency.
- No accounts, logins, cloud saves, or leaderboards.
- No chat, messaging, user-generated content, or contact between players.
- No social network integration or sharing.
- No location, camera, microphone, contacts, or file access.
- No advertising links out to app stores or websites outside the ad itself.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal information. We hold none to sell.
6. Children’s privacy (COPPA, GDPR-K and equivalents)
Because Candy Wars is made for children, we comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, the child-protection provisions of the UK and EU GDPR, and equivalent laws elsewhere.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we collect none from anyone. Because no personal information is gathered, there is nothing for a parent to review, correct, or delete on our side, and no verifiable parental consent is required for the app to work. Advertising data is handled by Google as described in section 4, under child-directed treatment.
If you are a parent or guardian and have a question or concern, write to vongstudios2026@gmail.com and we will respond.
7. Parental controls
Ads require an internet connection. If you would prefer your child sees none at all, put the device in aeroplane mode or block the app’s network access in Android settings — the game is fully playable offline, and no feature is lost except the optional bonuses. You can also reset or delete the device advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
8. Data retention
We retain no personal data, because we collect none. Local game data stays on the device until it is deleted or the app is uninstalled. Advertising data is retained by Google under its own policies.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or the CCPA/CPRA — you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data and to object to certain processing. Because we hold no personal data ourselves, requests about advertising data should be directed to Google. You may also contact us at the address above and we will help where we can.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above will change when we do, and the current version is always available at this URL.
